ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you willing to come and shape the future of technology? At Liquid Studios we are part of Accenture innovation architecture working on helping companies understand how to apply bleeding edge technologies like AI, IoT or Blockchain to their business.  You will be working on short projects (our engagements usually last less than 12 weeks) in Chicago’s West Loop at our state-of-the-art Innovation Hub.

We are looking for a Full Stack Developer to join the Accenture Liquid Studio to provide technical leadership to our team. You will work with clients to turn ideas into reality in a fast-paced environment using rapid development principles and microservice-based architectures. You will be working with the latest emerging technologies within artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, Augmented Reality, and conversation UX on the most exciting and state-of-the-art projects within Accenture. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop code to run on backend, web frontend, cloud, mobile, and IoT devices
  • Design, build, learn, and iterate using agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Create proof of concepts and products that amaze your clients
  • Act as technical lead to research and resolve technical blockers
  • Work on cross-functional teams with UX designers and business strategist 
  • Communicate and explain complex technical issues in a clear concise way to stakeholders
  • Coaching and Mentoring more junior members of the team

WHO YOU ARE:

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • A BS or MS in Computer Science or related degree 
  • 3+ years professional working experience with a portfolio of products and POCs that use emerging technologies
  • 3+ years of experience in full stack Java Script, Node.js, React, and Angular plus work with automated testing, unit testing and version control 
  • Minimum of 1 year Agile (Scrum, Kanban) software development experience 
  • Minimum of 3 years experience Building RESTful APIs, cloud-native microservices, orchestration layers 
  • 3+ years Cloud experience and API management

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Working knowledge of CI/CD (Jenkins) 
  • Working experience in one or more of the AWS, GCP, Azure platforms  
  • Database experience: RDBMS (Postgres, MySQL) / NoSQL (MongoDB, CockroachDB) / Cloud Native (DynamoDB)  
  • Extended DevOps Ecosystem: GitHub 
  • Swift / Objective C
  • Serverless coding/Framework: AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, Cloud Functions
  • Mobile development using Ionic, Cordova or Native (Android, iOS)
  • Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, GKE
  • Data streaming experience: Kaftka, Kinesis 

  PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

  • A fast learner who continuously is working on your coding skills on and off the clock
  • Have a strong desire to push the boundaries of what is possible
  • A team member who mentors junior members, puts others first, and gives energy to the team; a true servant leader with a track record to back it up
  • You are comfortable to work fast in ambiguous situations with great uncertainty
  • Have a fail fast and pivot mentality
