Job Duties
Senior Software Engineers for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. [HQ: Chicago, IL]. Design and develop auto insurance coding interface applications as well as rules engines for healthcare claims processing. Perform unit and integration testing of software business units. Administration and coordination of user interface design. Analyze current and continuing information system requirements. Develop SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and/or calculate information to fulfill data and application requirements. Optimize database stored procedures, functions, tables, and views. Document code such that the function of the code is clear. Administration and coordination of web APIs, web services, FTP, and B2B data integration. Conduct technical research as necessary to develop and refine product concept. Investigate new technologies as necessary to enhance or develop products. Provide technical assistance for internal and external customers as needed. Technical Environment: postfix notation; multi-threaded applications; C#; .NET; MVC; Web Services; REST APIs; MS SQL; Visual Studio 2012 and above; Visual Basic 6.0.
Qualifications
*Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field plus two years of experience in the job offered or in software development required. Required Skills: software development for auto insurance coding applications; rules engine for healthcare claims processing; postfix notation; multi-threaded applications; C#; .NET; MVC; Web Services; REST APIs; MS SQL; Visual Studio 2012 and above; Visual Basic 6.0. May telecommute. (*Bachelor's degree in in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field plus five years of progressive experience in the job offered or in software development also acceptable.)
