Position Details

The Serverless Lambda Node Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining the next generation of CardX products. We’re looking for an experienced individual contributor with deep knowledge of Node.js and AWS Lambda. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building new things and experimenting in collaboration with CardX’s dynamic Technology Team.

We’re looking for consistent attention to detail and strong communication skills, including the ability to create clear and comprehensive documentation and serve as a mentor for junior developers. Other characteristics needed for success in this role are a solid work ethic, a commitment to excellence in product delivery, and the desire to make an impact as part of a fast-growing company.

Our Environment

• Internal and customer-facing REST APIs in Node.js
• Cloud infrastructure with most code running in AWS Lambda and other serverless techniques
• MySQL database and other key-value or document storage solutions
• Infrastructure-as-code approach to resource definition and management
• Unit tests (Jest) for all code
• Deployments automated by Bitbucket pipelines
• SaaS tools to make development more efficient, including private NPM, Sentry, LogRocket, and Cypress

What You'll Do

• Design and implement back-end infrastructure with Amazon Web Services (with an emphasis on modern serverless architecture)
• Leverage AWS Lambda and Node.js to interact with backend resources
• Work in an agile environment and collaborate with the development team to continuously improve CardX applications
• Incorporate unit and end-to-end tests in all development work
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers
• Create internal and external documentation
• Integrate with enterprise clients and build a product consumed by a fast-growing customer base
