As a member of AI Solutions and Framework team in the International Markets Technology Department, the role is to develop and support applications using Ab Initio and other open system technologies.

What You'll Bring

3+ years of hands-on development experience with Ab Initio, JAVA, C, Linux, SQL and relational databases.

Ability to demonstrate knowledge of advance Ab Initio concepts such as, project architecture, meta-programming, vectors, parallelism, performance tuning, debugging, SMP/MPP architectures, platform integrations (Hadoop, Java, C, etc.)

Self-motivated with strong desire to learn and use new technologies.

Ability to work in collaborative teams located across the globe.

Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Korn, Python experience a plus.

The successful candidate will be a creative, questioning, focused, critical thinker with a passion for finding better ways to do things.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.

Experience in AWS Cloud implementations.

Experience in Agile teams is a plus.

Hands on Ab Initio Administration.

Experience with Big Data tools such as Hive and Spark is a plus

Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, automation experience a plus

Impact You'll Make

Design, Development, Support of Data Processing applications, internal platforms/frameworks or solutions using Ab Initio, other Data management tools.

Enhance, support, implement, provide governance for TransUnion’s Data Acquisition platform globally across the organization.

Enhance and support the TU’s Inner Sourcing framework for Ab Initio based applications using scripting languages such as korn, python.

Involved in code reviews as technology SME for all TransUnion application teams globally.

Support in setting up execution environments; installing, configuring the various productions in the Ab Initio Product suite.

Grow to be an SME on all the products in Ab Initio Product Suite like Control Center, Metadata Hub, Express>IT etc.

Champion the TU Development best practices and standards throughout the company.

Work with internal customers and staff to identify pain points/key constraints within existing processes that can benefit from reusable solutions, and deliver solutions addressing those pain points.
