Major Responsibilities: Perform a variety of programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements. Maintain and modify programs under .NET. Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology. Refine data and format final product. Maintain and modify programs. Make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic, and code changes. Test and develop programming modifications. Write new program code using prescribed specifications. Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part. Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor. Confer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs. Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls. Write and maintain programming documentation. Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed. Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference. Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements: Applicant must possess a Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or in a related field and 2 years of experience as a Software Developer. Additionally, the applicant must have 2 years of professional experience in: 1.) web markup, including HTML5, CSS3; 2.) client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery; 3.) modern Framework at current frontend community, especially for React.js and KnockoutJs; 4.) asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX; 5.) code versioning tools, such as TFS or GIT; 6.) SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them; 7.) Cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them; and 8.) maintaining and modifying programs under .NET.
