Software Development Manager for the Discover File Transfer Platform (DFTP) that supports critical file transmissions for Payments and Enterprise Clients.Provide analysis of business, engineering, and scientific problems, and oversees the documentation and development of well-defined methods, procedures, and programs in the delivery of practical systems solutions. Responsibilites:

• Responsible for a team that, analyzes, designs and develops solutions for the Discover File Transfer Platform (DFTP)
• In charge of the architecture and application development of DFTP, including maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing systems and applications needed to keep the platform running efficiently
• Assist with strategic planning and manage a team of software application specialists.
• Familiar with Java integration of B2B technologies [i.e. AS2, Connect Direct, and SFTP
• Work with Systems Engineers to review detailed technical requirements
• Translate detailed technical into software design
• Leverage advanced skills and knowledge to succeed as an application development manager
• Support System Testers to ensure system quality, functionality, and performance
• Support system in production
• Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to require standards and processes Skills:

Basic Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science or related major OR Relevant Experience
• 5+ years’ experience with Java Development OR Relevant Experience

• Familiar with team programming using Eclipse
• Amazing team player with a hyper focus on the customer
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work on and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Understand the concepts of Continuous Delivery and Lean/Agile
• Familiar with Rest API Data Services, Web Development, client-server programming, and dynamic client side scripting
• Familiar with Oracle, MySQL relational data concepts
• Experience with: HTTP/HTTPs
• Experience trouble shooting web applications
• Demonstrates the ability to work well in a team environment
• Proven ability to deliver high quality, detail-oriented documentation
• Ability to travel as needed, domestically and internationally (less than 10% annually)
• Strength in adapting to a highly dynamic environment of change as needed
