Intelsat Inflight has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer. You will be part of a team responsible for keeping the organization's AWS development environment operating efficiently and securely with a primary focus on improving and modernizing the operations of the development pipeline.

• Support a multi cloud network interconnectivity between on-prem AWS and third-party vendors
• Participate in continuous improvement of AWS products and capabilities through smart architecture
• You are a self-starter able to work with a team and agile in your day-to-day priorities.
• You will demonstrate your ability to design install configure upgrade troubleshoot Linux operating systems.
• You will demonstrate your ability to deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable managing manipulating and summarizing large quantities of data.
• Use performance analytics to track aggregate and visualize key performance indicators over time for different areas of the network.
• Configuring Linux-Based applications collecting and analyzing data develop and execute performance load and stress scenarios and test cases.
• Create and complete procedures; create and perform scripts; provide troubleshooting support for architecture infrastructure and network engineering teams on the servers you are responsible for.
• Use troubleshooting procedures and technical information to identify the severity of incidents and carry out accordingly the resolution process; research issues that do not have a recognized solution and prepare a resolution process; maintain local documentation which gets updated on all features of servers.

You should definitely have:

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Experience managing a multi-account AWS environment using the following AWS services: Control Tower Organizations and SSO
• Experience with some/all of the following AWS services: EC2 VPC S3 Elastic Load Balancer IAM Lambda
• Understand least privilege IAM policies
• Skilled with Python scripting
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or relevant experience
• 3 - 5 years' experience in systems applications and cloud support

It would be nice if you had:

• AWS certification
• Experience with some/all of the following AWS services: CloudWatch EKS RDS Systems Manager Jenkins EMR KMS API Gateway
• Familiar with common DevOps methodologies ( https://aws.amazon.com/devops/what-is-devops/ )
• Familiar with 12 Factor methodology of application design and deployment ( https://12factor.net/ )
