Description

The Drupal Engineer serves as a technical resource in the design, coding, testing, support, and debugging of software applications throughout various stages of the software development lifecycle. This position works directly with clients, developers, quality assurance engineers, product owners, and project managers responding as a team to all types of project related questions and challenges.

Why Nerdery?

Nerdery is a digital business consultancy entering one of the most exciting phases of growth in its 15-year history. We start with identifying business value and digital strategy and how that relates to the human experience of our clients customers, but then - within the same organization - we move all the way through design and engineering, enabled by a top class delivery organization. That means we not only co-create the innovative ideas companies need in order to win in this new economy - but we actually build them right in-house without any discontinuity whatsoever. What will you do? You will be joining a team of passionate, dedicated Nerds who are working toward solving our clients' real world problems. You will work diligently on upgrading the systems that hold our clients back. You get to build part of the team’s solution and see the results of your work manifest in the overall outcome.

Who are we looking for?

You are a dedicated Drupal technologist with 3+ years' experience who lives and breathes Drupal development technologies and enjoys learning other languages & frameworks as well (if you have front-end and/or modern JS library chops, that'll be an asset, too). You are passionate about writing, reading, and improving software in a specified set of technologies. If you bring more engineering and/or consulting skills - let us know that too. You like to think outside the box, challenge the status quo, and recommend cutting edge solutions. You're the kind of person who's able to state your opinion while keeping in mind the thoughts, feelings, and beliefs of others in the room. In other words, you are skilled in delivering opinions that challenge others professionally without being divisive or confrontational. You welcome feedback and the opportunity to grow. You team up comfortably both in the room and virtually online.

You recognize when to follow, how to support both your client and your team, and recognize when to step up with more initiative.  You collaborate effectively in all stages of solution development and delivery - always moving conversations and solutions forward together. Lastly, you enjoy sharing your knowledge with others in your domain and have the desire to continue learning. At Nerdery, you can go deep within your domain, but also dive into new territories that enable you to make new, exciting contributions.

Why apply?

Nerdery is a company focused on the tomorrow of technology — we enable our clients to tackle their toughest problems. Here, you'll get to focus on and help shape our clients' futures through bringing your software engineering and solutions oriented problem solving expertise to the table.

Now what?

Once you apply, a Talent Advocate (not a robotic system) will review your application and if you're a solid fit, will set up initial phone call. We hope to hear from you soon.
