Our technology product teams are building software that connect our customers to their dinner plans. Some of our product teams are focused on the customer journey, some are focused on enabling our internal innovation process, while others are focused on helping us effectively ship our meals to our customers. What to Expect

• Our Technology Stack is primarily Ruby on Rails, React/React Native, and of course vanilla Javascript and CSS. Hosting on Heroku, postgres database.
• Teams are made up of Engineering, Product, and Design. These functions work very closely with tight feedback loops to deliver features.
• You will participate in product and feature building alongside the rest of the team, working and pairing with other devs to deploy features to production. You'll participate in planning and estimating sprints.
• While we recognize we all have our strengths and bring different experiences to the table, we view ourselves as full stack engineers. This means that we shouldn't be afraid to pick up the next ticket, and if it is something you don't have as much experience with, a great opportunity to pair!
• We take mentoring seriously. We want to maintain a culture of learning, and bring talented developers onto the team with a growth mindset. We want to make sure that you continually grow as a developer (and hopefully a person too). Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, ability and/or other characteristics needed for this role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

• 1+ year(s) experience shipping production code
• Have built and shipped at least one major feature in Ruby on Rails
• Must be comfortable working with version control such as GitHub
• Must be well-versed in at least one professional code editor (Atom, Sublime, VS Code, Vim, etc.)
• Must be comfortable working with tools like Slack and G Suite
• Some advanced SQL knowledge is a plus, but not required
• Experience with Heroku a plus
• Experience with React Native a plus
• Up to one year of post-high school training such as in a business school, community college or vocational training

We started an apprenticeship program very early in the history of the tech team. Of the 10 apprentices we’ve had, all of them were hired onto the team as Software Engineer Is. Our first apprentice was hired in July of 2016 and is now a Senior Engineer. Two of our ten apprentices have left the company after spending 4 years with us and progressing to Senior Engineers.
