Ocient is searching for an experienced Software Engineer to join our Web Application Team.

Ocient is building an interface to configure and manage large-scale, distributed database systems. It’s browser-based – an application built on Typescript, Angular4+, Node.js, Bootstrap. More important than the stack specifics, what we’re really looking for is a talented, versatile, communicative engineer who is committed to craftsmanship, and making a difference.

In addition to keeping up with our feature deployment schedule, we’re also consistently iterating on valuable optimizations to performance, testability, maintainability, test coverage, design patterns.

Qualifications:

• BS, MS, or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or related technical field
• 3+ years of industry experience writing code for a web application
• Experience with Typescript, Angular4+, Node.js, Bootstrap strongly preferred
• Ability to work well across team boundaries
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently
