SPINS, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Software Engineer to join our team at 222 W. Hubbard St., Suite 300, Chicago, IL 60654.

Job Description

• Work as part of a dynamic team developing software using cutting-edge frameworks and agile methods.
• Design and develop innovative web applications to meet business needs.
• Customize Qlik View and sense visualizations, and build web services, web apps, and portals used by SPINS partners and customers.
• Coordinate with teammates and product management to determine requirements and scope.
• Develop unit tests and integration tests.
• Maintain existing code, and occasionally refactor old applications.
• Create documentation to support new products/feature launches as needed.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Two years of relevant experience.
• Two years of experience using MySQL.
• Experience with core Java development and Object-Oriented development.
• Experience building web services and applications using Java EE.
• Experience with relational databases.
• Front-end development experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, ExtJS, and AngularJS.
• Experience with software development best practices and associated tools (Ant, Maven, GIT, Junit etc.)
• Experience with Linux.
