Position Description

  • Lead the design and development of solutions in the areas of software design, implementation, deployment support, and unit testing
  • Ensure the security, confidentiality, availability, and integrity of client information
  • Monitor applicable technological changes for their effect on system security to ensure organizational adaptation and compliance
  • Adhere to procedures to provide alternate personnel for key system security functions in case of absence or departure

Basic Qualifications

  • BA or BS preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or IT related field

Preferred Skills

  • 5 years of software engineering experience, a track record of building highly scalable, high-quality systems in a direct-to-consumer business. Should had played a critical role in the development of such systems.
  • Architecture and software design experience, including strong design patterns knowledge
  • Project management experience
  • Demonstrates strong understanding of the importance of end to end software development which may include working in Agile methodologies and processes
  • Passion for learning & researching new technologies
  • Hands on & fill the gaps in development
  • Excellent experience in Java/Scala programming
  • Coaches and mentors members of the team
  • Engages with technology and business leadership to evolve architectural principles and ensure alignment with technology solution

  • Complex Problem Solving - Ability to identify and solve problems by reviewing related information, evaluating options and implementing solutions
  • Critical Thinking - Ability to use logic and reason to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems
  • Deductive Reasoning – Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
  • Inductive Reasoning – Ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated information or events)
  • Quantitative and Analytical Skills - Ability to apply quantitative and statistical analysis techniques to unstructured problems
  • Strong Communication Skills – Ability to clearly and concisely communicate information and ideas orally and in writing
  • Quality Assurance – Ability to perform systematic self-review to ensure work product is accurate and satisfies its intended purpose
