We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager that possess both the technical understanding of software development as well as the management expertise in a software organization. You will enable the team to achieve their highest level of performance by developing a deep understanding of the people, technologies, and practices of the Software Development group.
As the Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of talented engineers in designing, building, and delivering our suite of products. You will also support the self-development, performance, and professional growth of individuals, as well as foster a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative environment in which people do their best work.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of software development/architecture experience with Microsoft technologies including C#, .NET, .NET Core, SQL, Angular, TypeScript, and Azure.
- 5-7+ years of leadership experience
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience training and developing others to ensure knowledge transfer and expertise buildup
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
CANDIDATE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build a deep understanding of how our products work and are built. Though you will not be expected to regularly code, you will provide hands-on code reviews and expert-level technical assistance to developers
- Responsible for optimizing workflow and creating an environment for a high performance software development organization
- Ensure teams deliver on the product roadmap
- Manage the professional development and goals of team members, conducting regular 1-on-1s and giving feedback
- Responsible for building, coordinating, and delivering new hire onboarding programs and driving ongoing training and development projects for our Software Development group
- Own and continuously refine the communication strategies the development team uses to build and support products
- Design, develop and deliver learning programs across a variety of learning mediums that lead to lasting positive behavioral change for our development teams
- Demonstrate a passion and motivation for continuous learning
