Position Overview

 

Reporting into the Director of Solution Engineering, as a Solution Engineer, you will be a primary technical resource and trusted advisor to Product Development, Outside Sales, and Partner Sales teams.

 

As an advocate for the channel, you will be responsible for evangelizing CloudCraze solutions to both partners and their customers, and you will work closely with key partners to ensure their teams are properly trained, positioned, and empowered. You will actively drive and manage the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with joint sales teams as a key technical advisor, mentor, and advocate for our solutions.

 

The CloudCraze Solution Engineer must be able to answer technical questions from channel partners, internal stakeholders and customers, as well as articulate CloudCraze solutions to both business and technical audiences at all levels. You will be responsible for the Direct in Partner demo instance and its evolution and road map. You must be able to help partners identify and troubleshoot technical issues, and you must be able to develop and maintain strong relationships throughout and beyond the sales cycle.

This role works in a fast-paced high-energy market segment and candidates should be able to successfully balance multiple projects in a team-selling environment. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand customer goals and challenges and establish the CloudCraze product as the best solution available
  • Build and present customized demonstrations
  • Present salesforce.com technology infrastructure, including demonstrating deep familiarity with hardware, software, networking and security stack
  • Participate in all product, sales, and process training and certification to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective
  • Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management
  • Respond effectively to RFPs
  • Travel domestically

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to work as part of a team to solve business and technical problems in varied political environments
  • Solid verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven time management skills in a dynamic sales environment
  • Knowledge of related applications, relational databases, and web technology
  • Basic programming experience in HTML and other web based technologies
  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, MBA, or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience as a Solution Engineer

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience with CRM sales or consulting
  • Experience with enterprise application platforms

Our office is centrally located in the Loop close to various train stations. Bike year round, we have an indoor bike storage facility.
