Job Summary and Scope of Responsibility

The Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA), eBusiness is responsible for the design, delivery and support of solutions for Chamberlain’s eBusiness processes, including Digital Marketing, e-commerce, and Customer Support, across both consumer (B2C) and customer (B2B) online channels. 

The Senior BSA, e-Business will engage business stakeholders to: elicit and define business requirements; design, develop, and implement solutions that meet business needs; collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement integrated solutions; support production systems including analyzing and resolving production problems and end user service requests.   

The role will help the business stakeholders achieve business benefits by implementing the hybris software suite for e-commerce, multi-channel commerce, master data management and order management. The role will advise the business customer on which functionality is important to their particular product set and target customer base and will be responsible for documenting any required business changes from the standard functionality of the hybris Multichannel Accelerator.

The role requires advanced understanding of business processes and practices in Digital Marketing, e-Commerce and Web development; strong business analysis skills; strong project management and communication skills. The role will interface with multiple departments including Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Service, Technical Support, Channel, Finance and other IT departments. 

Essential Functions:

Functional design, management, delivery, and support of eBusiness functionality in Chamberlain’s applications environment, specifically the Hybris B2B and B2C platforms, including PCM, WCMS, Commerce, and related/integrated applications that support Digital Marketing, e-Commerce, and Customer Support business processes online.

Activities include:

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand business processes and elicit, define, analyze and document requirements. Lead discussions and workshops mapping business requirements.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams across the CGI applications portfolio to define, design and deliver robust integrated solutions that meet business needs, follow industry best practices, leverage standard application functionality, adhere to application design guidelines, strategies, best practices, knowledge of the requirements and past project delivery experience to help identify risks and prioritize tasks.
  • Ensure quality and relevance of user requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications, data models, and process flow diagrams to control engagement scope, sustain high delivery quality and ultimately deliver the project successfully. 
  • Provide consultation to client stakeholders and business users in Omni-channel specific business topics, including product catalog modelling, inventory management, pricing strategy, shipping & freight, taxes, international commerce, customer service.
  • Create deliverables according to the Software Development Lifecycle such as user stories, requirements documentation, functional and technical specifications, test cases, and system documentation.
  • Create integrated test cases to cover business processes and system functions; collaborate with QA resources to execute tests; analyze and resolve defects.
  • Collaborate with business partners throughout the development lifecycle to ensure solutions will meet business needs and deliver the desired benefits.
  • Facilitate resolution of cross-team business issues.
  • Collaborate with business partners on deployment including training, change management, and communications.
  • Manage own work to deliver according to project schedules; be accountable for delivery.
  • Apply project management standards and concepts; prepare work estimates and work schedules; create and update documentation including project plans, user stories and manage the sprint backlog.
  • Support production systems; proactively work to analyze and resolve production problems in a timely manner. Assess and resolve end user service requests. Contribute to continuous improvement processes including identification of root cause and corrective actions.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s  in Information Systems or equivalent required. Masters in Computer  Science, Business Administration, or Supply Chain a strong plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years  experience in Information Technology, Digital Marketing, eBusiness, or  equivalent.  
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on   experience working in B2B or B2C e-Commerce focused environments, playing  an active role in definition and delivery of solutions and enhancements to the core e-Business/ e-Commerce platform. 
  • Minimum 3 years hands-on  experience with Hybris Commerce platform experience required.
  • Minimum 3 years working with  business processes and application systems directly involved in the  support of e-Business/ e-Commerce, including ERP “Order to Cash” functions, Payment, Shipping, Sales, Pricing and Promotions,  Customer Service/Support, Product Catalog Management, Content Management,  and Digital Marketing.
  • At least two full lifecycle implementation  of an e-Business/e-Commerce platform.
  • Experience in a scrum master and/or  project management role in at least one implementation will be strongly   preferred.
  • Strong experience conducting prioritization discussions , maintaining / managing backlog, sprint planning in a scrum agile implementation approach using tools such as JIRA 
  • Experience working with  Requirements Management and QA/Test Management solutions, preferably JIRA,   Confluence, QASymphony.
  • Experience working in User   Experience driven environments, including Information Architecture and   Creative disciplines applying user-centered, responsive and mobile design   best practices.
  • Experience required with Google   Analytics and Search Engine Optimization.
  • Hybris commerce BA certification a strong plus. 
  • Being scrum master certified a strong plus.
  • Experience in global environments a plus. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Recognized "go-to" resource by business stakeholders to help analyze and solve business problems. Leads business requirements analysis and often recommends solutions that business stakeholders are unable to articulate. 
  • Experience in data analysis; strong knowledge of business reporting needs, KPIs and how the system meets those needs incorporating industry best practices. Strong knowledge of core systems data models, able to analyze data to answer business questions and communicate with business stakeholders up to senior management
  • Stays current with industry trends and leverages industry learnings to improve effectiveness of business knowledge: Strong knowledge of business processes and operations in multiple ecommerce functional areas, on par with business stakeholders; knowledgeable of industry best practices. 
  • Business Relationships: Builds and maintains strong relationships; works cross-functionally in teams; proactively manages stakeholder expectations; sought out as a trusted advisor. 
  • Communication: Communicates clearly and effectively in both written and verbal communications; concise and direct; can communicate effectively to management; can speak in business language, articulate a point of view and drive to a business decision. 
  • Change Management: Able to persuade, influence without authority, and drive change. 
  • Self-driven, team-oriented, fast learning, organized, disciplined, professional, goal oriented individual with positive attitude.
