Position Details:

Expectations:

  • Serves as main point of contact for development across 1-2 projects
  • Gathers technical requirements and assists in design of client solutions
  • Develops and implements solutions per client specifications
  • Actively participates and contributes in project planning activities
  • Participates and as necessary leads SCRUM activities and standing meetings with clients or internal project teams
  • Mentors and helps to develop junior-level consultants
  • Investigates, documents and escalates critical issues impacting development to management
  • Contributes to implementing and refining of development best practices

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering (Telecommunications), Business (with concentration in Computing or Information Management) or related field or the equivalent work experience.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering is a plus
  • 5-7 years of applicable development experience
  • 3-5 years of experience working in a client-facing role
  • Demonstrated ability to gather complex technical requirements and perform technical gap analyses
  • Ability to create and use command line utilities applying various programming languages
  • Strong independent learning and problem-solving skills are required
  • Ability to build applications using RESTful Web Services
  • Ability to proactively provide solutions and guidance on common code management systems (Git, SVN, etc.)
  • Ability to proactively apply Agile principles and processes
  • Experience in customer facing application software projects/programs is preferred
  • Ability to pick up new technologies and solutions is a plus
