Sr. Director of Truckload Network
project44 is revolutionizing the freight and logistics industry by applying cutting edge technologies to automate the entire lifecycle of freight shipments including quoting, scheduling, and real-time visibility. project44’s network of APIs is capable of optimizing the shipment lifecycle, empowering companies to deliver the best customer experience possible, and provide up to date data while cutting costs along the way.
We are looking for a Sr. Director of Truckload Network to ensure that Truckload (TL) carriers build out a suite of APIs that project44 can connect to in order to maximize value to its shipper and 3PL customers. As the Sr. Director of TL Network you will be responsible for leveraging existing relationships and building new ones, to meet with and influence executive technology, sales, and operations leadership at a variety of carriers.
Key Accountabilities:
- Educate & partner with executive (business and technical) leadership at TL capacity providers to build and improve APIs needed to maximize value to project44 customers
- Follow-through with capacity providers to ensure that technical and business deadlines are met and clearly communicated
- Liaise with Product Management and project44 customers to determine strategic capabilities needed to maximize value of API connectivity
- Liaise with customer support to understand which carrier API updates would be most valuable
- Develop and present Health Checks to carriers to help them understand current strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement
- Work with Sr. leadership to create and maintain an overall priority of time allocation that best drives our strategic goals across modes and product offerings via our capacity provider partners
Requirements & Preferred Skills
- Deep relationships with C-suite of multiple TL carriers
- Ability to influence key decision makers to make technology decisions
- Deep understanding of the North American freight marketplace, especially in the TL space
- Preference to have a solid understanding of additional North American freight modes (LTL, Small Parcel, Rail/Intermodal, Expedited, etc.)
- Preference to have solid understanding of International freight modes
- Understanding of transactional freight details that are passed via API or EDI
- Ability to work as a trusted adviser to carriers
- Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team setting
- Strong project management and multi-tasking skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills, people skills, and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
