Job Duties
Design, build, test and maintain middleware solutions in large enterprise systems environment including cloud technologies. Work in complex and distributed software application implementation environment. Ensure software systems are designed and implemented using standards and best practices for Middleware Products. Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and resolves problems related to operation of middleware and related infrastructure components. Perform systems roll-outs, adhere to change management, transition from project phase to on-going systems support and disaster recovery and recover complex environments. Support processes that ensure application availability and manage the application life cycle of the Middleware and related applications. Automate Middleware infrastructure environment builds using open source tools. Provide technical documentation of new software modifications. Communicate and interact with management inside and outside of IT. Technical Environment: Java, WebLogic, OSB, OAM, WSM, AQ, MQ, LDAP, OHS, JBOSS, TOMCAT; AWS, Chef/Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Jenkins, Docker; Kubernetes; Application Performance Monitoring Tools (App Dynamics, XPOLOG, ELK); Apache Storm, Kafka, Active MQ, PostgreSQL.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or as a Middleware or Systems or Infrastructure Engineer OR Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or related field plus five years of progressive experience in the job offered or as a Middleware or Systems or Infrastructure Engineer required. Required Skills: Hands-on experience working in complex and distributed Java application implementation environment with WebLogic, OSB, OAM, WSM, AQ, MQ, LDAP, OHS, JBOSS, TOMCAT; Cloud Computing Leveraging AWS, Chef/Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Jenkins, Docker; Kubernetes; experience with systems roll-outs, adhering to change management, transitions from project phase to on-going systems support and disaster recovery and recovering complex environments; experience in application performance monitoring tools in troubleshooting performance issues leverage tools (AppDynamics, XPOLOG, ELK); Apache Storm, Active MQ, PostgreSQL. Willing to share on-call rotation with team and work with 24x7 offshore model.
