Purpose: 

This Role is required to drive the quality of the product technical / user specifications and ensure proper functionality, maximize positive customer experience, and ensure durability of new and existing products

This Role is required to minimize the risk of significant field quality issues with consultants and customers. The value created is to identify product performance, customer experience, and quality issues before customer use and to reduce the overall adjustment as % of sales, reduce number of product returns, and reduce calls to the Solution Center.

This Role is required to continue to improve the online rating reviews of products, to ensure maximum customer satisfaction, and to answer questions from the Solution Center.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support new product development team during development of product specifications and testing of new, existing, and competitive Collects detailed, accurate and reliable data during testing.
  • Develop testing protocols, test products and provide timely communication 
  • Independently develops testing protocol for internal or external 3rd party testing:
    • Understand PQP for historical perspective to guide protocol and provide feedback for
    • Incorporate Design Review or Testing Meeting
    • Testing protocols to be reviewed with Team members for feedback
  • Prepare and conduct product testing per protocol, adjusting procedures as needed in response to specific product features. Types of test include, but not limited to:
    • Component or product measurements based on specifications and drawings
    • Prototype functionality
    • Life cycle testing
  • Write reports that include documentation of testing procedures, observations, data collected, and testing results with
  • Develops International and Domestic Product Regulatory standards and maintains databases. Leads the design engineering team in collecting all regulatory documentation and works with suppliers in gathering data.
  • Manage budget for consumable materials and equipment in the Engineering Lab. Testing area maintenance and ownership of the testing lab.
  • Leads weekly testing update meetings to go over test results and provides recommendations to a cross functional team. Test results and findings help determine design changes, approvals / rejections, as well as help define marketing of
  • Select and work with external inspection and laboratory resources for off-site testing needs. Manage budget for 3rd party resources for testing.
  • Leads a cross functional team to create and maintains replacement parts list for products

Background and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering preferred 
  • 5-8 years of various technical experience in engineering, testing and quality
