SRE/DevOps Engineer

Location: Chicago

What we are looking for:

We are searching for a subject matter expert to join our in house SRE team. As a member of our SRE team, you will be at the forefront of expanding our technologies and processes. You will have the opportunity to help create a fast moving continuous delivery pipeline that utilizes cutting-edge technology and provides a high degree of reliability. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter who is able to quickly identify gaps, find solutions, and is continuously looking for ways to enhance our IT capabilities while observing the bigger picture.

Responsibilities:

• Development and maintenance of CityBase’s automated build and deployment pipelines
• Troubleshooting production issues as they arise
• Building and expanding CityBase’s monitoring and alerting capabilities
• Developing custom solutions and maintaining existing ones
• Managing sensitive data and information
• Working directly with developers and security teams to find solutions

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years experience in an SRE or DevOps role
• Experience with microservice architecture
• Experience with automated monitoring and alerting practices and tooling
• Fluent in at least one programming language
• Experience with build tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, TeamCity, etc
• Familiar with AWS
• Willingness to learn continuously evolving company and industry specific technology
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience with Go, Elixir or Ruby
