Come join the dream team. Our team in Platform Engineering is at the forefront in the movement to democratize workflow experience creation. We're working on a new product called Playbook Experience that allows process owners to build end-to-end workflow experiences across business services with zero coding background. You'll be creating a platform that empowers users to view and interact with these workflows in real time, revolutionizing the way work gets done across departments. This is at the heart of ServiceNow's purpose to make work, work better for people and there's never been a better time to join the ServiceNow family.
We're using the latest technologies such as UI componentry, GraphQL, and ECMAScript 6 in a greenfield environment that's not burdened by legacy code or rigid guidelines. You'll work with a talented group of developers with access to predictive intelligence, advanced automation, and industry leading developer tools.
What you get to do in this role:
- Build highly interactive web-based application UIs that can scale with application complexity
- Create tools, libraries, and frameworks for other developers to build upon
- Work with a strong set of teams to improve developing and deploying applications and customizations
- Work with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality product to our users.
- Design software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs
- Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite
- Be a mentor for colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing
To be successful in this role you have:
- 6+ years of experience with Java or a similar OO language
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
- Experience with any of the modern UI frameworks like Angular, React or Vue
- Analytical and design skills
- Ability to manage projects with material technical risk at a team level

A flexible work persona is defined as an employee who is contracted to work from or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office and will work from their assigned workplace location roughly 3 days/week or less (generally around 40-60% of the work week). Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
