In this vital role you will have the ability to have a daily impact on the company’s success. You will develop, implement, and maintain Supplier Quality Assurance / Supplier Quality Engineering methodologies, systems and practices that meet Intelsat’s Quality and regulatory requirements.

As a Supplier Quality expert within the company, you will partner with our suppliers, drive performance and ensure Intelsat’s quality requirements are maintained. Your activities will range from supplier evaluations, performance monitoring, supporting design, industrialization, to certification.

Are you up to the challenge?

• Monitor and manage supplier quality performance, including:
  • Participate in Supplier Approvals and maintain list of approved suppliers  
  • Develop and implement Supplier Scorecards
  • Perform supplier audits and re-assessments and manage supplier corrective actions
  • Support source inspections and conformities at supplier sites
• Support Product Realization efforts including:
  • Perform and/or audit Receiving, In-Process and Final Inspection activities (internal and external)
  • Conduct Airworthiness Inspections
  • Conduct and audit First Article Inspection activities 
  • Develop and manage internal and/or customer specific quality plans
• Quality Management System, support activities including:
  • Maintain Supplier Quality procedures, participate in the Internal Audit program
  • Participate in internal corrective actions
  • Implement and manage Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing projects 
• Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.

Can you drive these processes?

Develop, implement, and maintain Supplier Quality Assurance / Supplier Quality Engineering methodologies, systems and practices which meet Intelsat Quality and regulatory requirements.

You should definitely have:

• BS Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in quality, process, and/or supplier engineering
• 5+ years experience working within an ISO 9001 manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of statistics and statistical methods
• Background in a medium to high volume system level, assembly, and/or SMT manufacturing environment including electrical, mechanical, and/or PCA components
• Working knowledge on FAA Regulations including 14 CFR 21 and 14 CFR 145
• Technical knowledge in quality, manufacturing, or process engineering
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• PC Skills in database and data analysis systems
• Domestic and international travel is a substantial part of this position (up to 25%).  The ability to obtain a passport is required for this position

It would be nice if you had:

• Masters degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
• 6 Sigma Green or Black Belt
• ASQ CQE
• ISO auditor certification
