Job Description

Responsibilities

• Deliver software product reliability improvements to Motorola Solutions customers, working with other software engineers and with customer service representatives

• Develop, deploy, and support distributed applications using C# and .NET

• Work with product owners to define timelines and deployment for product improvements

• Create internal tools including production monitoring and alerting, to increase proactive system failure detection

• Follow prescribed SLA’s with parameters for Service Level Objective (SLO), Mean time to Failure (MTTR), & Mean time to Repair (MTTR)

Qualifications

• Technical Stack:

  • Microsoft Web API and ASP.NET MVC

  • JavaScript/Typescript, HTML; CSS and Single-Page Application architecture a plus

  • Entity Framework, Dapper, and other ORMs

  • Microsoft SQL Server, especially complex queries, as well as basic DBA tasks

  • Software design and architectural patterns, including SOLID design principles

  • XUnit and other unit testing frameworks

  • Microservices and containers

  • Agile development environments using Scrum and Kanban

  • Windows System Administration, Windows domains, Active Directory, IIS

  • Git, PowerShell, NServiceBus

• Other:

  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment

  • Solving complex problems using technology and automation

  • Passion and aptitude for learning; abreast of latest trends and technologies

  • Site Reliability Engineering experience

  • Operating and supporting applications in Azure cloud

  • Shipping software to production environments on customer premises

  • Monitoring and logging tools and platforms

  • Video processing or video streaming software development

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 3+ years experience developing, debugging, deploying, and supporting distributed applications at enterprise scale using C# and .NET

• OR 6+ years experience developing, debugging, deploying, and supporting distributed applications at enterprise scale using C# and .NET

• Candidate may reside anywhere in the US with access to a major airport for necessary travel
