As a Team Lead Security Engineer, you will ensure the security of Relativity’s software. You will conduct penetration tests, design, write deploy and support new implementations for the security tools that drive Relativity. You will use your technical expertise to design and write security enhancements for the Relativity platform. You will also be responsible for the development of your direct reports and will act as the subject matter expert for the communications in which you are involved.

Responsibilities

  • Work with management to set and communicate team goals and vision aligned to business requirements; ensure the team stays focused and delivers against the goals, adapting to changing business requirement
  • Maintaining and creating secure development practices and programs for our engineering teams and external developers
  • Conduct research to identify new attack vectors against Relativity’s products and services
  • Mentor junior team members in conducting security reviews
  • Act as primary owner for multiple compliance controls in the information security management team
  • Performing technical security assessments on our web applications, mobile clients, and architecture designs
  • Identifying risk in code, applications, processes, and architecture
  • Ability to discover new and interesting security problems as well as fix them
  • Understand offensive techniques/tactics and be able to prioritize mitigation techniques or technologies accordingly

Qualifications

  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written communications skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong team and partnering skills for cross-group collaboration
  • Ability to motivate people and achieve results
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent professional/military experience) in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • 5-7 years of experience in application security and/or software engineering with a focus on security related features
  • Experience leading and/or managing the technical aspects of an Application Security or Software Engineering Teams
  • Outstanding work ethic with a passion for Product Security
  • Ability to manage cross functional projects
  • Strong understanding of web application vulnerabilities
  • Proficient in at least one programming language
  • At least 5 years’ experience working on cross-functional projects
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineer
