Windows Administrator

Are you a Windows administrator Professional, comfortable working in a fast-paced and innovative environment?

We are seeking an innovative game changer: a creative problem solving Microsoft engineer equally comfortable with the changing needs of the business and a continually evolving technology group. This highly crucial position will take a central role in building in several core & critical technology areas which are an important component of our high traffic, consumer facing, $1.3B industry leading ecommerce platform. 

What you will contribute:

  • Develop collaborative partnerships across internal and external technical support teams to maintain and improve the integrity of the Windows server infrastructure.
  • Provide engineering and infrastructure support for application DevOps and deployment activities
  • Support SAN infrastructure and storage arrays. Hands-on enterprise-class storage experience is preferred
    • Ability to foster new ideas and concepts and make decisions surrounding complex issues
    • Demonstrated clear and concise verbal and written communication skills at levels appropriate for the intended audience in a professional manner
    • Proven decision-making capabilities
    • Work in collaboration with the project management office to create comprehensive statements of work and detailed project plans involving Windows server infrastructure projects.
    • Participate on server technology implementation and technology evaluation projects as requested.
    • Improve the delivery of information technology services across the enterprise.
    • Assist Network Team in evaluating technology solutions that will improve the delivery of Enterprise server applications.
    • Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running system load/stress testing; escalating application problems to vendor.
    • Secures system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation and inventory.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

What we seek: 

  • Minimum of 4 years advanced technical knowledge and experience in management of large Windows server environments
  • Experience with EMC Avamar data protection solution in an enterprise environment
  • Experience supporting high volume, high availability website architectures which include load balancers, web servers, messaging services, caching, CDNs and code deployment
  • Hands-on experience with automation tools and Google Cloud Platform, or any other cloud provider
  • Installation and configuration of multiple versions of Windows servers running in Active Directory.
  • Extensive experience with infrastructure design, implementation and troubleshooting of large VMware ESXi and Virtual center environments
  • Experience with server monitoring and capacity planning tools.
  • Network management (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Expertise of Windows based applications of basic principles, theories, and concepts
  • Expertise of Third party software integration within a server enterprise environment
  • Knowledge/Expertise in supporting and administering centralized storage platforms, including Storage Area Networks. ISCSI and Fibre Channel
