BAE Systems Platforms and Services has an opening for a Field Service Manager to manage the Amphibious Readiness activities.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages and/or leads field service team (10+ people) and highly complex projects in support of Amphibious product lines. Teams inspect, repair and maintain a fleet of vehicles for a variety of program requirements and teams ensure products are in compliance with customer requirements. Position requires extensive knowledge and experience with Marine Corps maintenance standards and Technical Manuals.
Develop estimates for future field service projects, establish budgets for new field service projects and track performance against established budgets, including accurate Estimate to Complete financial information.
Plans, estimates, staffs, and schedules resources for field service projects.
Resolves highly complex technical issues such as hardware and software failures by facilitating the liaison between field service and engineering, quality and production on technical issues, and providing feedback to engineering, quality and production on problems discovered during sustainment activities.
Responsible for Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) of the personnel assigned. Develops job safety, procedural, and technical training programs for field service personnel. Ensures training and skill requirements are met.
Prepares and delivers reports and presentations to various customers and management on the status of on-going field service projects and internal/external issues potentially preventing successful execution of various projects.
Resolves field service issues that potentially impact efforts (scheduling and cost conflicts, contractual requirements, etc.) with the customer and internal Program, Contracts or Finance organizations.
Perform duties normally associated with supervision including, but not limited to, hiring, training, evaluation, counseling, and discipline of employees.
Maintains familiarity with industry practices, trends and applications to enhance the organization's capabilities. Advises management on new developments and evolving organizational needs and required competencies.
Maintains a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Shares responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent plus 12 years relevant experience; or relevant associate degree plus 10 years relevant experience; or relevant Bachelor's degree plus 8 years relevant experience.
Experience in some combination of engineering, manufacturing, and field service position to understand product lines, combat systems, systems design, manufacturing, and field service business complexities.
10+ year's military maintenance management experience with Ground Maneuver and Amphibious Platforms.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
A Bachelor's degree in business, mechanicalengineering or electrical engineering
10 + year's military maintenancemanagement experience with either the US Army and Marine Corps combat vehicle productlines.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $94728 - $161038
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
