About the role

Screencastify is in hyper-growth mode. Over the past year, we’ve put many foundational pieces in place to help us maintain and accelerate that growth. We’re looking for an accounting analyst to help support Screencastify’s near and continued long-term success.

What you’ll do

In 30 days you will have:

• Taken ownership of Accounts Payable transaction posting and review by verifying, classifying, and recording vendor invoices to the correct expense account and department.
• Worked with finance and revenue operations teams to learn revenue systems, processes, and reporting.
• Administered the cash cycle including collections, customer communication, cash & check deposits, and reconciliation.
• Grown comfortable with the chart of accounts and payables integrations.

In 60 days you will be:

• Reviewing employee expense reports and confirming compliance with company policy.
• Running various revenue exception reporting and facilitating corrections.
• Preparing month-end reporting for review

In 90 days you will be:

• Serving as the point person for customer and internal cross-functional inquiries and requests around billing and collection issues.
• Meeting account collection goals; Communicate with past due customers to resolve outstanding balances as necessary.

You’re perfect for this role if you:

• Have 2+ years of experience in collections and accounts receivable responsibilities and general accounting, or at a technology company (SaaS experience preferred).
• Have proven ability to resolve customer collections discrepancies on customer phone calls with great articulation and customer service.
• Possess a strong understanding of accounting systems and data structure, especially billing systems. Experience with Quickbooks (online), Salesforce, Google Sheets. Experience with Chargebee a plus.
• Have an undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance (a CPA, or on the path to certification is a plus).
• Are proficient with Google Suite, macOS and MS Office Suite with intermediate skills in Excel including VLOOKUP, if functions, pivot tables, etc.
