Position Overview

We are looking for a Accounting Analyst to join our finance team and help us with all aspects of the accounting and finance functions. The Accounting Analyst will have the opportunity to play an integral role and contribute towards a broad range of accounting processes, including; month-end close and financial reporting, reconciliation and maintenance of all balance sheet accounts, accounts payable and accounts receivable, and all areas of tax and compliance. This person will also have exposure to many different departments within the company and members of the executive team.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate monthly journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Manages Accounts Payable function, including; processing of vendor invoices and employee expense reports, reconciliation of the subledger to the General Ledger at month-end, completing year-end vendor 1099 reporting and compliance, and ensures payments are made within established terms
  • Manages Accounts Receivable function, including; maintenance of A/R subledger, invoicing, posting of cash receipts, and review of aging to ensure timeliness of customer payments
  • Provides assistance during preparation of month-end financial statements and takes ownership over several areas of month-end close
  • Communicates with other competencies to obtain the information necessary to record accurate transactions
  • Reconciles bank accounts to ensure the completeness of all cash transactions
  • Maintains fixed asset subledger, ensures adherence to the company’s capitalization and depreciation policies
  • Maintains an orderly filing system of accounting information
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to better leverage system reporting capabilities
  • Assists finance team with various accounting projects and ad hoc reporting as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
  • 1 to 3 years of accounting experience
  • Basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Experience using accounting software (experience with Intacct is a plus)
  • Advanced computer and business solutions software skills, including strong excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with other competencies and third parties
  • Innovative analytical and problem solving skills
  • CPA preferred (or CPA eligible)
