What You’ll Do
Networked Insights is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Associate to play a key role in our accounting and finance team. The Accounting Associate supports the Finance Team by maintaining and reconciling accounts and performing other accounting related activities. This individual will be located in Chicago and report into our Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Manages purchase orders, bills and vendor relationships
- Reconciles bank statements
- Performs weekly check runs
- Reviews employee travel expense reimbursements
- Prepares and issues customer invoices
- Manages accounts receivable ledgers and initiates collection efforts when needed
- Completes monthly state use tax filings
- Reconciles subsidiary journals to the general ledger
- Assists in month-end closing procedures as directed
- Assists in the annual audit process
- Responds to outside parties (insurance, state govt, etc.) with financial and reporting requirements and requests
- Performs other ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as necessary
- Assists with other accounting related projects as needed
- Contributes ideas to enhance accounting processes
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or other related field required.
- Experience in all cycles of a financial closing process under GAAP (revenue recognition, accrual set-up and execution, account reconciliation, etc.)
- Experience managing AR and AP functions
- Strong working knowledge of financial software, Intacct preferred
- Strong MS Office skills
