Billing and Revenue Accountant

As a Billing and Revenue Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring Tegus’ customers are billed in a timely and accurate manner across multiple revenue streams. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with departments across the organization on continuously improving processes related to customer billing.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of complex data consolidation processes that contribute to ensuring customers are billed timely and accurately.
- Manage the monthly billing process for expert calls by creating invoices that detail services provided and applying adjustments as necessary.
- Review contract terms, create sales orders, and bill customers for new subscription sales and renewals.
- Resolve billing discrepancies by answering inquiries and creating credit memos as necessary.
- Work closely with stakeholders across multiple departments to continuously improve upon and develop scalable internal processes related to customer billing.
- Participate in month-end close activities, including booking journal entries, preparing reports, and performing balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Provide support for external audits.
- Assist with other ad-hoc projects on the accounting team as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous accounting experience related to billing and accounts receivable. Experience with SaaS products preferred.
- Working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas and pivot tables.
- Ability to think critically about tasks that are presented to you.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite is a plus
