OppLoans’ Corrective Action Program is the company’s process for escalating, risk-rating, and addressing any and all system issues, process deficiencies, procedural oversights, and control weaknesses which may expose the company to regulatory risk (also known as “compliance issues”). We are looking for a motivated, intelligent Compliance Analyst to join the Corrective Action Unit. You will report directly to the Corrective Action Manager within the Compliance Department.
What you get to do:
- Performing the following tasks in collaboration with the Corrective Action Manager:
- Handling the intake, risk-rating, and maintenance of all compliance issues discovered across the business.
- Collaborating with leaders in other departments, such as Product, Operations, Marketing, Credit, Finance, and Technology, to identify solutions that reduce identified compliance risk while minimizing business impact.
- Coordinating with the Data Intelligence team and department issue owners to determine the size of issues.
- Partnering with our Legal and Operational Risk teams to oversee the formulation and implementation of customer remediation efforts that are purposed towards making already impacted customers whole.
- Developing trend analysis for weekly and monthly Corrective Action reporting provided to our CEO and the Executive team.
- Exercising judgment in assessing the material significance and relevance of identified compliance risks.
- Take on and lead other projects purposed towards the prevention, detection, mitigation, or assessment of regulatory risk.
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 1-2 years experience in the financial services industry.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of state and federal regulations and binding industry rules; UDAAP, ECOA, EFTA, E-SIGN, FCRA, FDCPA, GLBA, MLA, SCRA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, BSA, U.S. Bankruptcy Code, PCI, and NACHA.
- Interest in learning new skills.

- Intermediate data analysis skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and retain new information.
- Maintaining goodwill towards and friendly relations with individuals that have business interests which may occasionally compete or conflict with your own.
