About the Role

As an eCommerce Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for supporting Retunly’s customers with understanding our reporting best practices, and mapping those to our customers monthly accounting activities.

What you'll be doing...

• Serve as the SME for Returnly customers on all things related to accounting and financial reconciliation of Returnly’s reports.
• Conduct regular meetings with merchants to review their current accounting procedures and adapt as needed to accommodate Returnly revenue/money flows
• Deeply understand the e-commerce ecosystem and accounting best practices across a variety of platforms (eg: Shopify, Big Commerce, Netsuite, Quickbooks, Xero, etc)
• Meet with late stage sales prospects to craft how accounting procedures will be modified as they onboard with Returnly
• Design new tools, spreadsheets, and process that support our client’s monthly reconciliation with ease 
• Work with cross-functional teams to guide the fulfillment of strategic initiatives related to creating seamless reporting and reconciliation processes
• Training new customer facing team members on how to present & guide merchants through common reconciliation tactics 
• Document all workflows, talk tracks, and tips/tools and work with Enablemnet and Customer Marketing to create unable guides and articles

About you...

• 2-3+ years of experience as an accountant 
• Your experience should include both accounts payable and accounts receivable work as well as bank reconciliations. You should be good at problem solving report discrepancies between accounting systems with deep knowledge of the accounting cycle within a retailer or e-commerce business
• You are confident in speaking with customers, are able to facilitate calls independently and guide customers through complex workflows with ease
• Significant experience with different accounting softwares/financial ERPs (bonus: Netsuite Certified Financial User , QuickBooks ProAdvisor, Xero Certified Partner, etc)
• Experience working with payment gateway platforms (Stripe, Shopify Payments, Paypal, Adyen, Braintree, etc)
• Ability to execute on strategic initiatives, ie: implementing new processes and initiatives in a well-planned, well-documented and organized manner.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets.
