Equity Options Broker Trader

A key component of our trading strategy is providing competitive quotes in the inter-dealer broker (IDB) market where we build great relationships as brokers really appreciate our emphasis on pricing in all market circumstances. We are seeking someone with technical skills and a well-rounded background in trading options.  During market hours, you’ll respond to quotes in the broker market.  When the markets are closed, traders actively build and enhance the quality of our trading strategies, requiring superior analytical, mathematical, and computing skills.  We’re seeking someone who loves participating in markets and building tools to succeed in them.  As a trader you will have the freedom to find your niche within the firm and ultimately excel.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Provide quotes to market participants to supplement IMC’s proprietary strategies
• Collaborate with screen traders/quants to develop, maintain, and enhance trading models/algorithms 
• Build and maintain key external relationships
• Manage execution and risk of complex trading portfolios
• Research new market opportunities

WHO YOU ARE:

• 2+ years of experience on an options trading desk
• Experience pricing, analyzing, and trading exchange-traded options
• BS, MS or PhD in an analytical/quantitative related field of study
• Experience with programming in MATLAB or Python
• Superb analytical and mathematical skills
• Ability to work successfully in a fast-moving and competitive environment
• Desire to work in a team environment is a must
