Job Description
About the Department:
US Finance is comprised of financial professionals who lead all aspects of all financial activity, including accounting, economic policy, business insights and analytics, and strategy and planning for McDonald's USA, LLC.
Members of the Initiative Management team within US Finance act as internal strategy consultants providing thought leadership and actionable insights to support our overall growth strategy. The Initiative team has a solid grasp of overall industry performance and our performance within the industry, generates quantitative insights to define opportunities for new promotions and initiatives, develops business cases for new initiatives, and helps bring to life strategies and tactics that lead to improved business performance and consumer brand perceptions.
About the Opportunity:
You will have an outstanding opportunity to participate in cross-functional teams accountable for developing and supporting our overall strategy and vision. You will provide key insights into profitability trends, define opportunities and risks to help shape future marketing programs, analyze the potential viability of initiatives that are in the testing / development stage, forecast the national financial impact of initiatives, and make recommendations based on the business screens established for each initiative. Examples of initiatives include but are not limited to: better burger / better chicken, breakfast, etc.
In addition, in this role you will help develop scenario plans and financial models. You will also provide the actual financial results at the conclusion of each national promotion or new product launch to understand what actually drove performance at both a national and local level.

Required Proficiencies:
- High level of intellectual curiosity
- Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
- Ability to influence others through storytelling and empathy
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) to understand customer needs and convey complex data into clear insights via reporting and presentations
- Strong financial acumen
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities
- Operates effectively in a team environment
Qualifications
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance; advanced degree in related fields such as MBA is not required but a plus
- 4+ years experience – Public Accounting, Consulting, Business Insights/Research, Strategy or analytical/data intensive environment
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required
- Experience working with Tableau and/or other data visualization software is a plus
