The Finance Manager will play an integral role in the global forecasting and planning process. He or she will be expected to produce timely, accurate reporting and customized financial analysis to support management decisions.  The Finance Manager will be expected to lead cross-functional projects that continue to improve and evolve Groupon FP&A.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and consolidation as part of the global FP&A cycle including budgeting & forecasting, variance reviews, etc.
  • Understand country and category business drivers. Monitor performance and KPIs
  • Work closely with Global FP&A leadership, region finance and other members of the global finance organization
  • Identify and implement various process improvements
  • Construct financial models to evaluate pro-forma scenario planning
  • Enhance existing reporting and tooling capabilities in financial systems
  • Analyze operating and financial trends and opportunities and develop alternatives for improvement and action
  • Assist in development of strategic, financial and cash flow, balance sheet plans / forecasts
  • Prepare presentation and supporting materials for Board of Directors and senior leadership team
  • Ad-hoc deep dives on pressing business issues

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, MBA preferred 
  • 6+ years of FP&A experience. Prior FP&A experience required
  • Experience with technology start-up, digital media and/or e-commerce a plus
  • Excellent Excel, PowerPoint and modeling skills are required
  • Systems savvy - comfort with data architectures, ERP systems, SQL a plus
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects and work independently
  • Experience in multi-national company operating across geographies a plus
  • Ability to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment
  • Strong backbone with an ability to effectively articulate and communicate analysis and influence decisions
  • Results-oriented, highly energetic, dynamic individual with hands on mentality
  • Ability to multi-task and execute projects at a high level under tight timelines
  • Ability to translate complex data into an easily-understandable format
  • Comfortable working with and analyzing Company financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement) and relevant financial analysis metrics
