Job Overview

This role supports VaaS International Holdings, Inc. (VaaS), a data and image analytics company, one of our fastest growing software divisions.

VaaS, a “video analysis as a service” company, is a leading global provider of data and image analytics for vehicle location. The company’s image capture and analysis platform, which includes fixed and mobile license plate reader cameras driven by machine learning and artificial intelligence, provides vehicle location data to public safety and commercial customers. VaaS solutions and services are shaping communities across the globe by giving local, state and national agencies, as well as small and large businesses and corporations, the tools to better manage risk and prevent or solve crimes with real-time analysis. 

In this role you will be a finance business partner supporting the division leadership and the MSI finance team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the VaaS team and assist in the preparation, analysis, and reporting monthly results compared to plan, forecasts and prior year for the VaaS leadership team and MSI internal reporting team 
• Understand the relationship of cost of sales to revenue and which levers to manage to drive up gross margin.
• Assist in driving and projecting revenue and gross margin profitability through analytics, operating expense management, variance analysis and investigation      
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual budget forecasting cycles and working with department managers to collect inputs and perform analytical reviews
• Partner with VaaS sales leader and MSI finance to propose and assign sales quota by employee, and calculate/process quarterly sales incentive payments
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
• Ensure data accuracy and reconciliation to financial systems.
• Assist with financial modeling as it relates to departmental expenses.
• Ad hoc projects as assigned         

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

• Strong analytical skills, organization, and curiosity to develop new methods and processes  
• Exercises good judgment, flexible, and comfortable working under time constraints and with multiple operating constituents
• Strong system skills including MS Office, Oracle, and Hyperion are a plus   

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• ​5+ years of experience working in Finance / Accounting / FP&A role
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
