Responsibilities

  • Design, maintain and own financial and trend reports in support of both external clients and internal support teams
  • Forecast revenue by client based on trend analysis
  • Analyze user trends and data to proactively create additional reporting to support the decision-making process internally and externally
  • Support Finance team in processing payments to vendors
  • Review written product release specifications used by programmers to maintain data integrity of finance-related items, including payment amounts, revenue per transaction, etc.
  • Test existing and newly developed product releases to ensure data integrity
  • Challenge existing systems to seek additional value to the information being provided
  • Communicate directly with executive management as well as clients to assess and manage their reporting needs

Qualifications & Skill Set Required

  • Ability to pull, review and analyze large sets of data, sometimes will need to work directly with engineering team to determine most efficient and exact process of data retrieval
  • Excellent understanding and ability to use Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks is preferred
  • Ability to query database using SQL is preferred
  • Ability to problem solve and find creative solutions and ideas
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • A friendly attitude and customer-oriented mindset
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to work independently
  • Be an excellent team player
  • Work in a fast paced environment with, at times, minimal structure

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field
  • 1-3 years of full-time work experience
  • Experience within corporate finance, treasury and/or accounts payable preferred
  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge of cloud-based technology and/or software as a service
  • Experience in one or more of the following a plus: event or hospitality industry, procurement, financial software systems, or tech start-up
