Position Overview:

The Financial Analyst will be a key member of the growing Financial Planning & Analysis team at Paylocity with responsibilities including financial modeling, annual budgeting and other required finance-related duties for a publicly traded company.

Location: Schaumburg, IL

Reports To: Manager, FP&A

Responsibilities:

The below represents some of the primary responsibilities of the position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Perform financial analysis to evaluate the operating performance of key business units. Identify areas that require further investigation.
• Assist in the annual budgeting process for various business units
• Maintain, update and identify financial metrics and ratios to assist management in the evaluation of business performance
• Develop professional relationships with various departments within the Company through monthly and quarterly meetings as well as ongoing communication
• Support the earnings release process, including the preparation of financial statement forecasts for the investment community
• Prepare financial analyses that support monthly and quarterly close. Identify areas that require further investigation.
• Identify routine financial analysis process improvement opportunities
• Perform other ad hoc financial analyses

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree required with focus in Accounting or Finance preferred; other quantitative-focused majors may be considered
• 1-5 years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills:

• Intermediate/advanced Excel skills desired
