McDonald's Real Estate Accounting team processes all the real estate accounting transactions for over 2,000 operators and over 14,000 U.S. restaurants. The team is responsible for the billing and collection of rents, leases and service fees as well as overseeing the construction payment process. This group focuses on delivering a quality product and best in class customer service.
The Real Estate Accounting team is part of McDonald's Global Business Services department which recently won the prestigious "Best Mature Shared Services Organization Award" from the Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON), a · Division of International Quality & Productivity Center (IQPC).
The Franchise Accounting Representative is responsible for the franchise leases and monitoring accounts receivable for designated field offices in the U.S. (approximately 1-2 field offices). This includes setting rents for new restaurants, rebuilds, rewrites, changes in ownerships, and specials deals/rent assistance. This individual is also responsible for reconciling accounts receivable and assigned general ledger accounts. The primary customers consist of Field Office Finance teams, Owners/Operators and their financial teams, and Home Office Departments including Legal, Franchising and the US Controller Group.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree; business or accounting preferred
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to be attentive to details and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks while meeting various deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to interface with all levels
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook
- Ability to work independently
