Director of Risk Management

Manage the DRW independent risk management team overseeing widely diversified, global trading activity.

Responsibilities:

• With approval from the risk committee, define and execute the firm’s risk management framework and approach
• Work with risk managers to parameterize, quantify and monitor market risk
• Oversee Technology team supporting the risk management function
• Report/escalate risk issues to the risk committee and senior management as appropriate
• Work with technology experts to define appropriate safeties for electronic trading tools and other operational risks
• Assist firm in evaluating and attracting trading talent

Requirements:

• Trading experience
• Understanding of a variety of financial products including linear and nonlinear derivatives
• Ability to effectively analyze and quantify positions in a variety of asset classes
• Common sense approach
• Advanced education or applied experience in a quantitative subject such as math, statistics, or physics preferred
• Experience defining/architecting complex software systems helpful
• Excellent communication skills
