Job Description

We’re building a smarter choice for car insurance and want you to join us on this mission. 

Clearcover is looking for a tech savvy financial analyst to coordinate our financial accounting, reporting and overall financial management processes. In this role, you will use your financial background and passion for technology to work with data engineers and developers to architect and build technical processes that turn raw financial data into usable reports for internal and external users for forecasting, expense management and external reporting purposes. This individual will improve our financial data and reporting infrastructure that will guide the company’s financial decisions and create data driven solutions for financial reporting processes for internal and external consumption.

Roles & Responsibilities

 · Own the process of turning raw data (bank and credit card transactions, policy admin data, etc.) into usable financial inputs through technology and automated processes

· Accounting entry creation for accruals through technology and automated processes

· Act as the lead for financial reporting requirements to capture raw data from the company’s core systems which support financial entries into the company’s accounting system

· Own the integrity of reports for internal users and external stakeholders that include reinsurers, regulators and investors

· Handle ad hoc financial reporting requests from management and external stakeholders

· Liaison with our outside accounting firm to close the books and review financials

· Audit support as needed

· CBA support as needed

· Develop and maintain effective relationships across the organization and external stakeholders

Requirements

· You will be a pro at architecting reporting solutions using technology

· You will have had years of financial reporting and/or accounting experience in a financial institution or insurance company. Yes, that’s the boring part but we need it. 

· Excel Master (Financial Analyst’s best friend)

· Thirst for knowledge and responsibility to grow personally and professionally

· Personality and culture fit with existing team of highly talented professionals

· Insurance experience is a plus
