Job Description

Manager – Credit & Collections

About the job

Manage the Credit & Collections processes for specific key business units. Responsible for credit, collections and cash application functions. Manage the overall relationship with the Pune Hub Team for business units covered.

Responsibilities

  • Enforce policies and procedures related to credit, collections and cash application.
  • Evaluate processes to assess and ensure efficiency and compliance with applicable government regulations, professional standards, and company policies.
  • Reporting of financials / accountability to senior management. 
  • Cash Collections Forecasting and target setting.
  • Act as main point of contact for offshore team for business units covered.
  • Partner with Hub team to perform and review analyses, identifying opportunities for improvement of above processes.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance cash flow performance.
  • Handle escalations related to credit approvals, service suspension, billing exceptions and other issues as raised by Hub team.
  • Serve as a liaison between the transactional service center and other internal departments, including Client Service, Legal, Contract Administration, and Production, resolving issues while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate SOX, external audit and internal audit activities related to credit, collections and cash application.
  • Coordinate integration of new business acquisitions into existing processes.

About you

You’ve worked in difficult customer situations and have excellent communication skills to work through to a successful resolution. Need to be able to see the big picture and pay attention to details including research work and working with other areas of the business to get to the root cause of an issue. Ability to handle multiple projects and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4-6 years’ experience managing finance-related processes
  • Proven experience in management and team leadership

Desired:

  • Nielsen experience
  • Experience with project management and process improvement
  • Experience working with an offshore team environment
  • Experience working with customized, client-based contracts
  • SAP Knowledge
