Manager, FP&A: RXBAR is one of the fastest growing natural brands in the country and this explosive growth requires more focus on financial reporting and partnership with the sales and forecast teams provide visibility to net sales performance and management of sales costs (brokers, merchandisers, etc). Critical responsibilities include: providing insight into financial performance throughout the organization, understanding performance drivers through variance analyses and feedback from cross functional teams, and managing sales costs.

We are looking for someone that is detail-oriented, driven and eager to grow with our Finance team. Our ideal candidate has a strong analytical background in corporate finance, consulting or investment banking, and is excited to learn about our business and help establish new processes as we continue to build out our finance team. A self-starter that takes initiative, ownership over processes and is resourceful will excel in this role.

General Functions + Job Responsibilities:

  • Partner with sales and forecast teams to understand actuals, budget (forecast), and AOP, explain variances, and communicate risks and/or opportunities
  • Manage weekly financial dashboards to provide visibility on current revenue progress and continue to improve reporting with Netsuite to allow real-time insights across organization
  • Perform detailed analysis on historical financial results to explain performance across channels and customers to arm cross functional leaders with insights to drive decisions
  • Leverage cross-functional teams [Forecast, Sales, Category Insights and Marketing] to determine drivers of performance by channel and customer to understand financial variance to AOP and forecast
  • Manage monthly close with accounting ensuring accuracy on net sales; calculate appropriate accruals and review actuals
  • Partner with sales and forecast teams to understand volume, gross sales, trade, discounts, and net sales assumptions to understand financial forecasts
  • Work w/ trade analyst and forecast team to understand trade investment assumptions, forecast, and actuals driving % of gross sales
  • Create ROI environment to evaluate investment in brokers, merchandisers, auditors, and data/research providers to continue growing our brand and business
  • Partner with accounting to appropriately books sales costs, understand broker relationships and ensure accuracy in commission calculations
  • Lead annual planning for net sales and sales costs, partnering with sales and forecast teams
  • Be liaison between sales, forecast and accounting to help ensure accurate financials
  • Analyze sales spend with teams to understand ROI on merchandiser, auditors, and brokers
  • Implement sales team budgets and provide visibility into spend
  • Own financial forecast of net sales and sales costs for RXBAR financial planning model
  • Represent finance on projects where applicable; perform analysis on financial implications
  • Lead initiatives to create and improve processes that increase visibility and accuracy using new system tools

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Positive attitude, a thirst for knowledge, and an excitement for growing our business
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
  • 3 to 5 years of corporate finance, accounting, or consulting experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Office, Netsuite
  • Evidence of cross functional partnership experience
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Manufacturing/consumer goods industry experience a plus
  • Evidence of ‘Customer First’ values and behaviors
  • Self-starter who is extremely result and detail-oriented
  • Passion for entrepreneurship
  • Desire to excel and grow with the organization
