Job Description
The Payments Operations Manager builds a culture of accountability and ownership by empowering the product owners to make decisions. He/she will manage dependencies with other team's functions while identifying, building, and managing strategic partnerships across different ARTs.
Leads and oversees a team of Product Owners (could be business analysts and user-acceptance testers), and is accountable for the readiness of the business to accept application changes when they are delivered to production. Facilitates operational readiness and strategic alignment with project priorities, and develops team members through coaching and mentoring.
Responsibilities
· Directs administrative activities related to making products or providing services.
· Ensures systems changes are aligned with strategic direction and are operationally sound.
· Establishes necessary controls and monitors project delivery, including status reporting and analysis tasks.
· Effectively manage cross-functional projects independently with little or no supervision.
· Directs and coordinates activities of the department by monitoring the status of projects and provides guidance to team members (Product Owners) to achieve goals.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:
· H.S. Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
If we had our say, we’d also look for:
· Bachelor's Degree in Business, or related field
· 4+ years of experience in Product Ownership/Management, Business Analysis, Project Management, Operations, or Testing
· Proven people leadership or direct management experience
· Understanding of the Card Payments systems and transaction lifecycle
· Understanding/experience in Payment Services
· Experience working on Data Analysis/Reporting
· Experience with AGILE way of working
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
