 Summary:

 The Senior Financial Reporting Analyst will partner with the Financial Reporting team in a critical role analyzing and reporting Vasco’s consolidated financial results and key financial metrics, while being a trusted advisor on the accounting impacts of various Corporate projects. This position requires frequent interaction and communication with Corporate officers, finance personnel as well as internal and external auditors. 

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Champion the continuous improvement of internal and external financial reporting processes and deliverables.
  • Participate in the preparation of the SEC quarterly and annual filings (10-Q and 10-K) and quarterly earnings press release.
  • Prepare quarterly calculations of earnings per share and adjusted earnings.
  • Oversee accounting and forecasting functions for stock-based compensation plans, including recording of the monthly calculation of stock compensation expense.
  • Coordinates various monthly and quarterly reporting activities including acquisitions and divestitures, defined benefit plans review, review, monthly cash reports and other pertinent analyses.
  • Prepare the consolidated statement of cash flows on a monthly basis.
  • Assists in the development, maintenance, and distribution of the Company’s accounting policies.
  • Interact with external auditors, internal auditors, and actuaries for preparation of the Company’s regulatory filings.Preparation of periodic reporting and presentations to Board of Directors and their Committees.
  • Monitor new accounting standards and SEC reporting requirements, including analysis of the impacts to the Company and communication of key matters to company-wide business partners.
  • Manages research of GAAP literature to analyze technical accounting issues and develop solutions.
  • Provide research and support for special projects and unique transactions, including due diligence and integration of proposed M&A activities, contract reviews, implementation of new accounting pronouncements, and other technical accounting areas.
  • Interact with external auditors, internal auditors, and actuaries for preparation of the Company’s regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Investor Relations, Human Resources, Tax, Legal as well as with other departments within the Corporate Controller’s group (for example, the Corporate Accounting and Consolidations teams). 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • CPA certified or eligible
  • At least (3) three years of public accounting experience with a Big 4 or Fortune 500 in an SEC reporting (external reporting) role
  • Experience focused on accounting, auditing, and/or reporting (including SEC registrants)
  • Extremely strong technical accounting and SEC reporting skills, with experience in technical research and drafting or reviewing SEC documents Exceptional work ethic.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with deadlines.
  • Experience with Workday, Lawson, or Anaplan a plus.
