We are looking for highly motivated individuals skilled in oral and written communication with a deep understanding of the mechanics of trading to work as Market Operations team members. The role serves as the first point of contact for all exchange and trading related issues as it relates to the daily operation and interaction with users of ErisX Spot and Futures markets.

We are looking for candidates for the following shifts. Please indicate the shift you are applying for in the Summary section.

  • Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm CT - 7:30am CT
  • Tuesday - Saturday 11:00pm CT - 7:30am CT
  • Friday - Monday 10:00pm CT - 8:30am CT
  • Saturday - Wednesday 7:00am CT - 3:30pm CT
  • Thursday - Monday 7:00am CT - 3:30pm CT
  • Tuesday - Saturday 3:00pm CT - 11:30pm CT
  • Sunday - Thursday 3:00pm CT - 11:30pm CT
  • Friday - Monday 2:00pm CT - 12:30pm CT

Responsibilities

  • Provide real time system monitoring of alerts and all daily operational milestones, resolving or escalating issues that arise
  • Monitor market activity and respond to trading related questions from clients, leveraging internal tools to reconstruct trades
  • Liaise with external firms to resolve issues, including third party providers for front end execution, middleware trade matching, Market Data Vendors, Back-Office Service Bureaus and Independent Software Vendors
  • Perform Level 1 technical support for any FIX messaging and client connectivity issues
  • Manage access to Production and Test environments, including issuing ID’s and configuring user permissions
  • Serve as functional stakeholder for trading systems, identifying areas for improvement and performing User Acceptance Testing
  • Increase operational efficiency and reduce risk via process improvement
  • Contribute to the gathering of data for reporting

  • Desired Technical Competencies:
    • Microsoft Excel, FIX Protocol, Bloomberg,
    • Experience supporting an electronic trading platform

Experience

  • 2+ years in an operations/customer service role for a trading environment
  • Strong knowledge of trading mechanics (including bids/offers and electronic trade matching)
  • Experience working with Futures
  • Knowledge of Crypto products desired
  • Basic understanding of CFTC regulations
