What will your day look like?
You will work with a team of Mortgage Loan Officers. The incumbent will assist by answering the member's questions and by creating a lead in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system that is routed to a Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO). The Mortgage Specialist will coordinate the appropriate marketing campaign to educate and retain the member. Responsibilities include answering phone calls, responding to email and voicemail messages, and converting these into lead opportunities. As part of the Residential Member Relationship team, the Mortgage Specialist acts as a liaison between Alliant and the member. The individual will work with members who have a current portfolio loan to assess and create new loan modifications. The incumbent works with internal credit union departments and systems to obtain required documentation to assist in the approval and funding of the mortgage loan. General direction is received from the Manager, Residential Loan Production.

Lead Management
- Answer incoming member phone calls and email and respond accordingly within established service level agreements.
- Ask questions to clearly understand the member's request and refer them to the appropriate individual or team.
- Create leads within CRM system with detailed comments for MLOs to work.
- Provide lead reports to MLOs and status reports to management on a regular basis.
Marketing and Sales Opportunities
- Develop and manage follow up efforts on pre-qualified mortgage applicants.
- Lead the marketing efforts to retain member interest in Alliant mortgage products by using the appropriate marketing campaign.
- Assist existing members with rate modification options on their existing Alliant adjustable rate mortgage.
- Proactively identify sales opportunities by asking appropriate questions regarding member's needs.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, mortgage programs and industry offerings.
- Coordinate with internal departments to find solutions to customer issues.
Administrative Support
- Assist Loan Officers by gathering internal documents to complete loan package such as Alliant statements, payoffs and existing loan documents.
- Confirm applicant's membership status and coordinate membership as required.
- Coordinate with internal departments on outstanding items related to loans in process including Alliant subordination requests.
Qualifications

You'll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a High School diploma or equivalent, required, and you have:
- Minimum two years' experience in banking, customer service and/or sales.
- Experience at a financial institution and in lead management or CRM functions a plus.
- Strong phone and email etiquette.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks by demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
