What we’re looking for

dough is seeking to hire a Risk Analyst with the primary role of executing and managing Risk Oversight for Margin Lending, including researching and resolving complex account issues related to Balance and Buying Power (BBP), Margin Inquiries, and any other trading related activities across futures, equities, and options. The desired candidate should be experienced in solving complex problems, conveying findings, and providing recommendations for process improvements to a diverse audience.

The candidate must be self-motivated and willing to accept new responsibilities as the group and the organization grows.

The core responsibilities of this role:

  • Initiate, review, or manage exceptions to the firm’s current margin policy
  • Take action on at-risk accounts for reasons relating to firm policy, market conditions, or individual account behavior
  • Provide direct real-time support to dough’s client base by fielding client inquiries through electronic chat, and/or email, and effectively identifying gaps in client understanding of margin policies
  • Utilize comprehensive understanding of Reg T and margin collateral requirements
  • Understand and communicate the risk management framework, while demonstrating the ability to think critically and contribute to the framework as opportunities arise
  • Escalate risk-related issues to various heads of business
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives aimed at strengthening trade risk management, formulating policy in response to changes in the market and the market place, and improve systems used to manage risk and execute client orders
  • Conduct and maintain a competitive analysis of all pricing information within the retail brokerage space

Requirements:

Basic

  • Minimum of 3-5 years related work experience in the broker-dealer space, preferably in Equity, Options, & Futures markets (5+ years experience preferred)
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, or equivalent business experience
  • Excellent client service skills
  • Fundamental margin knowledge (Reg T, Pattern Day Trading, Call types, SMA and Option Requirements)
  • Series 7 and 63 required 

Preferred:

  • Strong understanding of margin, balances and buying power, and online brokerage operations
  • Advanced regulatory knowledge of Day Trading Minimum, Federal regulations T/U, and Maintenance Margin Requirements
  • Ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to any audience within the organization
  • Solid understanding of stock and option trading Strategies (Market Structure, Max Profit/Loss, Bullish/Bearish, multi-leg orders, Greeks, etc.)
  • Working regulatory knowledge of KYC and AML/Risk rules
  • Series 24
