The Role
As a Senior Corporate Accountant at Green Thumb, you will be responsible for supporting Green Thumb’s financial reporting process including the preparation of internal and external financial statements. We are a fast-growing, publicly traded company, and in this role, you will be responsible for managing our technical accounting function, supporting the consolidated and regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities
- Supports the preparation of periodic filing for quarterly and annual SEC and CSE requirements, registration statements and financial statements
- Supports the preparation of the consolidated financial statement process
- Supports the preparation technical accounting memos related to business acquisitions, control assessments, fair value measurements, impairment testing, etc.
- Works with the external public accountants in planning and executing audits and reviews
- Performs period-end financial close responsibilities including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepares supporting schedules for financial statements and quarterly and annual regulatory filings using applicable systems
- Proposes and prepares any adjusting entries necessary resulting from reconciliations
- Supports internal customers by researching questions and investigating variances on the financial statements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field, Master’s Degree or CPA certification, preferred
- 3+ years experience in Accounting in public company
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
- Possesses a high level of critical thinking
- Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information
