Threekit is growing fast and is looking for an ambitious Senior Accountant to join our team. The position will be based in our Chicago office and will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting function and month-end close process.
Maintain ownership over various accounting related functions including, but not limited to:
- Revenue recognition, invoicing and driving collections
- Accounts payable processing, credit card reconciliation, calculating and recording cost accruals and approving and processing employee expenses
- Preparing and reconciling transfer pricing and other intercompany transactions across entities
- State and local sales tax compliance
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive the month-end and year-end close process including preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, monthly journal entries as well as revenue and expense accruals
- Assist with monthly sales commissions calculations, payments and recognition under ASC 606
- Provide insight analysis on monthly financial statement comparisons to prior periods and the financial plan
- Partner with the team on company-wide project initiatives (e.g., system implementations)
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed
- Build and maintain relationships with internal cross-functional teams, external vendors, business partners and customers
Qualifications: Required
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong excel skills
- Qualifications: Preferred

- Strong organization skills and detail-oriented
- Maintains a high standard for the level of work produced
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Can adapt to changing priorities and a fast-paced environment
- Team player that strives to understand all functions of the business
- Public accounting experience
- Experience with Intacct
- BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
